JACK SHANAHAN RESERVE

Public BBQ

This local park, renowned for its skatepark, is a cherished spot in the Dulwich Hill area. The skate space is extensive and caters well to all ages and skill levels, making it an ideal venue for both seasoned skaters and beginners. In addition to the skatepark, the facility includes tennis and basketball courts, enhancing its appeal for active families and sports enthusiasts. The park also provides public toilets and undercover seating areas, adding to the comfort of visitors. While it's conveniently located adjacent to the Dulwich Hill Light Rail, making it accessible for those without cars, some visitors feel that the basketball court could be repositioned to avoid interference with tennis players. Despite its popularity, the park is not overly crowded, maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for family gatherings and socializing. It's also a nice spot for more serene activities like reading a book, although some have noted the need for maintenance, such as polishing the concrete areas.
